Worked example

An 80 kg body with 0.7 m² area and Cd 1 in air has terminal velocity about 42.95 m/s.

Assumptions and limitations

Drag coefficient and frontal area remain constant in steady flow.

Posture, turbulence, altitude, lift and changing orientation are not modeled.
